Coach Jim Spring
Jim Spring was an Australian coach who began coaching in South Africa in 1965. He was in East London for 6 months before moving to the Olympic SC in Bloemfontein in 1966. He also coached in Durban and Pretoria.
In 1968 and 1969, Jim took the Olympic Swimming Club to compete at a gala at the Internationales Schwimmfest in Darmstadt, Germany. This event was part of the annual international swimming festival series hosted by DSW 1912 Darmstadt, which took place at the Eberstädter Mühltalbad.
