Klerksdorp

The town boasted a 10 lane 50 pool that hosted many international visitors, included Test matches  against Rhodesia in 1978. Unfortunately the municipal swimming is now derelict. 

There is also a 50m pool (functional) in the Jouberton township. 

Of the local schools, only Klerksdorp Primary and the former St Conrad's College - now a Curro school - private school have functioning swimming pools.  In 2017 Dylan Kruger of St Conrad's won the South African biathle championships, and competed for South Africa at a World Triathlon event in Rotterdam.
