Border ASA

Despite being a small province based in East London, the Border province produced two world champions in Joan Harrison and Jonty Skinner.

East London hosted the SA Swimming Championships in 1927 and 1938 at the old Quanza seawater baths. In 1951 and 1958 the provinces hosted nationals again

David Vides - Chairman of Border ASA, and founder of the Vides Cup inter-schools water polo competition. The Vides U19 Water Polo tournament is the oldest school's Water Polo tournament in the country, dating from 1976.
