Victoria Falls Primary School

The little private school in Victoria Falls was opened in 1991. Pupils compete succesfully in galas in Bulawayo and beyond.


November 2013 - Victoria Falls Primary School swimmers at a gala in Bulawayo. — with Claire du Preez, Kristina Korsgaard Nicholson, Kerry Bradford, Toni-Anne Moroney Roberts, Elsa du Preez, Tay Teddy Mitchell, Zen Swales Van Wyk and Elvis Zinyemba.


11 November 2016 - the winners of the Small School's Gala held at Carmel Primary in Bulawayo.


2017  Zimbabwe Junior National Swimming Championship medals winners.

Carmen Veldsman - Gold 9 year old Girls 25 m Breastroke Bronze 9 year old Girls 4 x 25 m Freestyle relay. Shannon Cooke - Silver 12 year old Girls 4 x 25 m Freestyle relay. Avril Carinus - Gold 10 year old Girls 4 x 25 m Medley relay, Gold 10 year old Girls 4 x 25 m Freestyle relay Silver 10 year old Girls 25 m Breastroke, Bronze 10 year old Girls 25 m Butterfly, Bronze 10 year old Girls 25 m Backstroke, Caitlyn O'Donnell - Bronze 11 year old Girls 50 m Breastroke and Tyler Varley - Gold 10 year old Boys 4 x 25 m Medley relay, Silver 10 year old Boys 4 x 25 m Freestyle relay.


 Carmen Veldsman was awarded a Matabeleland Swimming Board Shield for the Best U9 swimmer in winning her 3 gold medals!


6 February 2018 - VFPS swimmers who participated in the Matabeleland Junior Championships this past weekend.

The following received medals for their efforts:
Caitlyn O'Donnell - Bronze for breaststroke, Tyler Varley - Bronze for backstroke,  Avril Carinus - Gold for breaststroke and 4 Silver for butterfly, backstroke, crawl and the individual medley.

Avril, Caitlyn and Tyler have also been selected to participate in the Senior National Gala as a member of the Matabeleland Swimming Team.


Victoria Falls Primary school swimmers at the 2019 Matabeleland Junior championships held at Petra Junior School in Bulawayo.

The school pool needed some repairs, but appears to be functioning.
